(AP) -- An infant has died in an early morning house fire in southeast Georgia.
Georgia fire commissioner spokesman Glenn Allen says that the fire consumed the wood house around 8 a.m. Friday.
The blaze killed an infant, who was between six weeks and two months old, and injured the infant's father, Christopher Riley.
Allen said Riley was transported to the Augusta Burns Center.
Allen did not immediately know the extent of the burns or the cause of the fire.
