77-year-old Fannie Corley’s family held a memorial service in her honor at Lakeside Baptist Church

The family of a missing Lee County woman remembers their loved one after a 10 day search turns up no results.

77-year-old Fannie Corley’s family held a memorial service in her honor at Lakeside Baptist Church. The Sunday afternoon service celebrated Corley’s life. Corley disappeared on Christmas Eve. Her abandoned car was found on the Old Leesburg Road Bridge over Lake Chehaw. A coalition of local law enforcement combed the waters for over a week looking for Corley. Her family tells FOX 31 News they decided to hold a service to bring some sort of closure to their lives

Cadaver dogs picked up a scent near the Philema Road bridge on December 28, but the current was too strong and divers couldn’t reach the bottom. When the dogs searched a few days later, the scent was gone.
