Seven hair stylists at a local hair salon donate free hair services all day to women in need

Queen Liz African Hair Braiding Salon gave out free hair services all day Wednesday to women in need so they can have a fresh look for the New Year.

Owner Elizabeth Adeleke says personal image is an important factor for women trying to restart their lives, because when women have a new look, it usually accompanies a new change in their lives.  “It’s a confidence thing.  We want everybody to feel confident and positive so whatever we can do to make that change, we’re here for them” says Adeleke.

The salon plans to make this an annual event for women in need around the winter holidays.
