Many citizens will be faced with a bleak Christmas due to the economy

Deputy Chief Nathaniel Clark and other officers from Albany Police Department made it a very merry Christmas to a select few families Saturday.

Officers donated canned goods and toys for children and then surprised families in each district with the bundles. Their aim was to surprise families who are less fortunate. Many citizens will be faced with a bleak Christmas due to the economy.

They were able to surprise eleven families in Albany.
