The lounge's operator has a separate permit and officials say it will remain open
(AP) -- An Atlanta hotel known for its strip club has been ordered shut down after a health inspection.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the Clermont Motor Hotel was ordered to close by Dec. 31. Kevin Jones of the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness says inspectors found mold growing on walls, black water spilling from faucets and broken toilet fixtures.
The Clermont was built in 1924 as an apartment building and was converted to a hotel in 1940. The downstairs Clermont Lounge is known as a place for young patrons to watch overweight, older dancers.
The lounge's operator has a separate permit and officials say it will remain open.
