(AP) -- State labor officials will offer the latest glimpse at unemployment across Georgia - and it's not expected to be good.

The Georgia Department of Labor last month reported state unemployment at 10.2 percent in October, up one-tenth of a percentage point from a revised 10.1 percent in September.  State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond has said the latest numbers haven't budged much.  He's expected to make announcements concerning future state unemployment insurance benefit costs and a job summit planned for January on Thursday.

Earlier this week, a University of Georgia economic forecaster predicted Georgia's economic recovery would lag behind the nation's.
