Albany State University held a series of programs and events to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS on campus in honor of World AIDS Day

ASU hosted speakers, a walk, and the health center offered free HIV testing to students.

ASU officials say the goal of all the events is to educate the public about HIV and encourage people to get tested and educate themselves on HIV/AIDS.

The awareness activities were so successful that school officials plan to expand the list of events next year.
