Albany law enforcement officials say there’s been a sharp increase of counterfeit bills circulating around South Slappey Boulevard
The Albany Police Department has three reports of counterfeit money being passed as real money on South Slappey Boulevard in the past three days.
Local law enforcement recommends all businesses train their employees on the security features in real money. “They all have watermarks, color shifting ink, and a security thread that you can see if you hold the bill up to the light” says Captain Jimmy Sexton of the Dougherty County Police Department.
