(AP) -- Four customers at an International House of Pancakes in Georgia have been injured after a car crashed into the restaurant.

IHOP restaurant manager Rafael Carbajal said he was helping serve orders before lunchtime Tuesday when he heard a loud noise and thought an employee had dropped something.

Cobb County police officer Joe Hernandez said a woman was attempting to pull into a handicap parking space when she ran into the building. She was not injured and was not cited since the incident happened on private property.

Four customers sitting in two separate booths were taken to WellStar Cobb Hospital after complaining of back and neck pain. Carbajal said a building inspector deemed the restaurant safe to remain open but the damaged portion is closed to patrons.
