The 2009 Toys for Tots campaign is off to a great start.

The Toys for Tots kick off was held at the Battle Color Detachment ceremony and those who attended the ceremony brought a large number of toys.  1,077 toys were donated at the event.  Marine Corps reservists are also planning the Bob DeSimone charity golf event on December 6th, and brand new this year, is the Stuff the Truck program.          

Registration for Toys for Tots begins October 26th and runs through November 6th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday through Friday at the Salvation Army on West Second Avenue.
