Georgia Tech spokesman Matt Nagel says three people were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for observation

(AP) -- Atlanta fire officials say emergency crews were able to neutralize a hazardous chemical spill that led to the evacuation of a building on the Georgia Tech campus.

Authorities say hazardous materials crews were called to a building that houses part of Tech's College of Computing Thursday evening after the spill.

Atlanta Fire spokesman Capt. Bill May said emergency workers were able to neutralize the spill of the dangerous chemical sometime after 9 p.m. May says no injuries were reported.

Georgia Tech spokesman Matt Nagel says three people were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for observation.

Nagel said a full cleanup was under way and that the building is scheduled to reopen Friday morning.
