Georgia Music Association partners with a national organization to combat violence

The Georgia Music Association is sponsoring community events to combat violence and gangs in Southwest Georgia.

The Association plans on hosting three events in November including a high school talent showcase to promote creativity through music.  The group says the goal of the events is to showcase different talent so young people can participate in the community.

The music and talent showcase will include local high school and college bands, dancers, and motivational speakers.

The Georgia Music Association’s talent showcase will be Friday November 6, 2009 at 7 p.m. at Monroe High School.
