It’s been a busy few days for Pelham law enforcement.  They had an armed robbery at a grocery store Saturday, a car theft at a gas station Sunday, and early Wednesday morning another crime occurred.

Pelham Police say 45-year-old Morris Williams, Jr. stabbed 43-year-old Shelly Davis numerous times in the face, neck, and arms in front of her relative’s house at 255 Martin Luther King Drive.

Police say Davis underwent surgery at Archbold Hospital and is in stable condition.  Police say Williams fled the scene and is still on the loose.  This isn’t his first encounter with police either.  Investigators say the Lowndes County native has been arrested before on aggravated assault and drug charges.

Williams is facing charges of aggravated battery and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.
