Morehouse sits next to Spelman college where a student was shot and killed by a stray bullet Sept. 3 2009
(AP) -- Police are investigating the robbery and shooting of a Morehouse College student as he walked home from the campus library.
Atlanta police Sgt. J. Ludwig told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the student was shot in the arm during the early Monday morning robbery about three blocks from the southwest Atlanta campus.
The student, who was not identified, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in good condition.
Ludwig said the robber told the student to get on the ground and took his wallet, cell phone, iPod and laptop computer. The student tried to stop the robber and was shot in the elbow.
Morehouse sits next door to Spelman College and Clark Atlanta University, where a Spelman student was killed Sept. 3 by a stray bullet as she walked with friends.
