Eight players and coaches from Historically Black Colleges and Universities are to be enshrined
(AP) -- The selection committee of the Black College Football Hall of Fame will hold its first meeting this week to discuss the inaugural class.
The 11-member committee consists of current and former NFL executives, scouts, writers and broadcasters and will meet Tuesday to start the selection process.
Eight players and coaches from Historically Black Colleges and Universities are to be enshrined. An induction ceremony will be held in Atlanta on Feb. 20.
The hall will be housed in the city, but a permanent location hasn't been picked.
The College Football Hall of Fame recently announced its move to Atlanta from South Bend, Ind.
