Police say Albany man was stunned with taser gun

Authorities say 38-year-old Rickey Massey of Albany died after the Panama City Police Department and the Bay County Sheriff’s Office conducted a narcotics investigation.

During a traffic stop on October 2, officers say they witnessed Massey consuming something that appeared to be narcotics when a struggle ensued. During the struggle a Taser was used to stun Massey, officers then sought medical attention. Massey later died at the hospital. It is still unknown whether the Taser was the cause of death.
