Shred personal documents before trashing
Heritage Bank and ShredEx teamed up to help you avoid becoming a victim of identity theft.
Saturday, a free shred-a-thon was held at Heritage Bank where people dropped off bank and credit card statements along with other personal documents to be shredded.
With Georgia being ranked number seven in the nation for identity theft by the Federal Trade Commission, more Georgia businesses and residents are shredding confidential documents before trashing.
