ADICA sent a certified letter to Dollar Square owner Tim Washington to repay money and vacate immediately

ADICA Interim Director James Taylor says he sent a certified letter yesterday instructing the owner of Dollar Square, Tim Washington, to vacate immediately and repay all money associated with the situation.

Taylor says Washington owes $4,900 in back rent as well as thousands of dollars from facade grants approved by ADICA’s previous CEO Don Buie.

“This isn’t new information for Mr... Washington” says Taylor.

Washington requested to break the rental agreement between ADICA and Dollar  Square last month.

On September 2, 2009 ADICA agreed to break the lease and expedite the process.

Taylor says the letter sent yesterday was a direct result of the decision made at that ADICA meeting.  He added that the letter took a few weeks to draft because it had to be approved by attorneys.

FOX 31 asked Washington about the situation and he says he plans on running his business as usual.  “I have not received any eviction letter yet and I have checked the mail today” says Washington.
