GBI Investigators say a burned body found in a Crisp County cotton field August 28 is 51-year-old Jerry Lee Lawrence
The Georgia Bureau of Investigations has identified a burned body in a Crisp County double murder as 51-year-old Jerry Lee Lawrence.
Sheriff’s deputies found Lawrence’s burned body in a van August 26. A day later, they found 36-year-old Harold Reese’s body nearby. Two brothers, 26-year-old Corey Dennis and 27-year-old Amin Dennis, and 23-year-old Jennifer McCleod are charged with the murders. The Dennis brothers’ mother, 48-year-old Elizabeth Dennis, is also in custody charged with concealing a death.
Investigators say they are still determining a motive.
