Albany police investigate an armed robbery on Slappey Boulevard

Albany Police are looking for a suspect in an afternoon armed robbery.

Police say around 4:30 this afternoon a man walked into Beal's on Slappey Boulevard, pretending to be a customer, walked to the back of the store holding a gun and demanded money from an employee.  He got away with an undetermined amount of money.  Police say the suspect is a black man in his mid forties with a medium build around five seven.

He was wearing a blue do rag, white t-shirt and blue dickie shorts and was last seen getting into a hunter green Chevy Malibu with a spoiler and rims.  Police say a woman was driving the car.
