Lewis charged with aggravated assault
Arrested for Americus shooting
Americus police and GBI agents are looking into a fatal shooting that happened around 11:00 o'clock last night.
19-year-old Courtney Jones was killed in that shooting. Police have arrested Cornelius Lewis and charged him with aggravated assault. Police found Jones' body in the driver's seat of his car on Cherokee street. Investigators say Jones and a passenger, 26-year-old Gilbert Brown were shot several times.
Brown is in stable condition after surgery.
