Cordalero Collier is awaiting trial for murder and aggravated assault

(AP) -- Authorities have recaptured an accused killer who escaped from jail as he was awaiting a murder trial.

Macon County authorities say Wednesday they tracked down Cordalero Collier in Atlanta after he escaped from the Macon County Jail Saturday morning. Collier is awaiting trial for murder and aggravated assault for the August 2008 death of Shanika Walker, the mother of his child.

Authorities say he stabbed Walker to death and also wounded Walker's pregnant sister in the same attack.
