The robber held a gun to a clerk's head and forced her to open the cash register
A lone gunman robs a Dollar General Store in Cordele.
The robbery happened late Wednesday night at the Dollar General at 402 Seventh Street. Cordele police say a black man entered the store, pulled a handgun, and demanded money. One of two employees still on duty at the time screamed and when the other worker turned around the robber ran toward her and pushed her against the cash register. While pointing a gun at the back of the employee’s head, the gunman demanded she open the register. When she did, he grabbed the money and ran.
The store camera showed the man was wearing all black clothing with a red bandana to cover his face and a light blue T-shirt over his head.
