Strong, Smart, and Bold motto
President of Girls Inc., Karen Wakeford spoke about how Girls Inc. stays afloat because of donations, grants, and funding from the United Way. Girls Inc. is a national organization that helps build girls’ lives. The motto for Girls Inc. is Strong, Smart, and Bold.
Wakeford says she’s proud of all of her girls.
“With all the negative publicity about gangs and poor objectives on the part young people that are girls have a terrifically high level of dedication to their education, to their community activities,” said Wakeford.
