The Colquitt County Sheriff’s Department says two children were bitten by dogs in separate incidents this week.

Erica Smith reported that her 11-year-old son was bitten by a bulldog at a neighbor’s residence.  Officers say they tried to contact the owners of the dog but were not successful.

In a second incident, Timna McCommn reported that 5-year-old was bitten twice by a black and brown dog that the boy believed belongs to a relative.

The dog later was found and taken to the Colquitt County Humane Society.
