The Mid-South Narcotics Task Force arrested 40-year old Cara Tondee
An investigation into prescription drug forgeries has led to the arrest of a Crisp County woman.
The Cordele Dispatch reports that the Mid-South Narcotics Task Force arrested 40-year old Cara Tondee. Drug agents say Tondee had participated in obtaining at least six prescriptions for a controlled substance that were supposedly obtained from Dr. Joel Link in Americus. Agents say they were able to confirm these prescriptions were fraudulent and were not authorized by Dr. Link.
Tondee is charged with five counts of fraudulently obtaining a controlled substance and five counts of forgery in the first degree. She was released on $10,000 bond.
