"Youth Becoming Healthy" Founder Pamela Jackson was chosen as a hero for her work fighting childhood obesity

An Albany woman chosen as a CNN Hero will appear on “Larry King Live” Thursday night at 9 p.m.

"Youth Becoming Healthy" Founder Pamela Jackson was chosen as a hero for her work fighting childhood obesity. "YBH" is a fitness program offered at all Dougherty County middle schools. If Jackson is chosen for the top ten, the public then votes for a winner who takes home $100,000. But no matter what happens, Jackson says they won't stop working to make kids healthy.

“Unfortunately, an unhealthy child misses more days of school. They're sicker. They have more problems, and that hinders their learning process,” Jackson said.

A video on Jackson’s program will air on all CNN stations starting Friday and will air all next week. It will also be online.
