The passing rate for the retest is double than last year’s
Some good news for high school seniors in Georgia – 1,400 students have passed their second attempt at two graduation tests.
Those students were part of a two-week intensive course called Project ExPreSS offered to students who barely failed their science and social studies graduation test. They retook their tests June 19. Dougherty County Schools offered the class to 150 students from five counties. Public Information Officer R.D. Harter says they’re still waiting to hear how many of those students passed.
“In those cases where students needed to pass a science by a grade or a social studies by a point or two, and this brought them to that level, then, yes they’ll receive their diplomas,” Harter said.
The passing rate for the retest is double than last year’s.
