Teen accused of stabbing death held without bond

(AP) --  A 14-year-old girl accused of stabbing a 12-year-old boy is being charged as an adult.

District Attorney Greg Edwards says Ladrona Hamilton of Albany is being held without bond at the Dougherty County jail. Police
spokeswoman Phyllis Banks-Whitley said Hamilton has been charged with murder and aggravated assault in the Friday night death of Shawn Jamal Williams.  Banks-Whitley said police arrested Hamilton early Saturday at a relative's home in Cordele, where she lived previously before moving to Albany.  Edwards said he is unsure if Hamilton has an attorney.  Police say Hamilton and the boy were arguing when she stabbed Williams once in the chest.

He was later pronounced dead at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
