Col. Williams strives to keep base running fluently

Colonel C.N. Haliday called it bittersweet.  Friday he relinquished his title as MCLB Commanding Officer to Colonel Terry Williams.

Colonel Haliday will be heading to the Marine Corps headquarters in Washington, D.C., to work in the Installation and Logistics Division.

Colonel Williams comes from Arlington, Virginia, where he last served as the Operations Officer for the Facilities and Services Division.  He says he has a plan in place to keep the base’s integrity solid.

“I’m going to look to make sure their work environment is the best it can be.  I am going to look to make sure that we’re doing everything we can to stream line the effort to make it simpler so that we’re not doing things that don’t make sense,” said Col. Williams.
