Senior citizens showed off their paintings at the 16th annual "Shades of Gold" art show Thursday afternoon.
19 artists put their work on display at the Albany Museum of Art. It's part of the Southwest Georgia Council on Aging painting class for people over 60-years-old. Volunteer Instructor Carole Gum started with the class 16 years ago and says she still gets the same feeling at every show.
"To see them when they've finished their piece and put it in a show, and see people admire what they've done, I get as excited for them as they do," Gum said.
The once a week class will start up again in September.
