Two Turner Elementary school teachers resigned after a screaming match Wednesday
Two Dougherty County Special Education teachers are asked to resign after reportedly getting into an argument.
There was no physical altercation, but school officials say the fight was bad enough to bring their resignations. A school police report says Turner Elementary teachers Wendy Bass and Dorse Green got into a screaming match Wednesday. The argument was over some boxes in a classroom, but Bass told school police Green spoke to her in a rude manner the day before in front of other staff members. No students were present or even on school property during the incident. District Public Information Officer R.D. Harter says they have no tolerance for fighting even if there was no physical altercation.
"Two teachers were involved in an argument that became heated, and loud, and undignifying of educators' behavior and they were asked to resign, which they did," Harter said.
No charges were filed, but could be pending further investigation.
