Agents found drugs, money, and more at 3116 B Fernridge Drive

Albany drug agents arrested two men Wednesday morning for dealing cocaine.

Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit Commander Major Bill Berry says 40-year-old Sidney Whitfield and 27-year-old Darrell Warren are in custody charged with trafficking cocaine after agents raided their home at 3116 B Fernridge Drive 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. Berry says they took a kilo of cocaine, $30,000 cash, a gun, diamond necklaces, drug paraphernalia, televisions, cars, and furniture from the duplex.  Drug agents from the ADDU, GBI, and Drug Enforcement Administration found cocaine hidden in cereal boxes.  The items confiscated are worth $280,000.

"This is not typical for what we see in a dealer here. This is a major player," Berry said.

Berry says they're continuing to investigate to determine if anyone else is involved.
