The United Way gives a big 'Thank you' to local businesses who've helped out in good times and in bad.

The United Way honored 2008's biggest donors and updated business leaders about the orginization's progress at Monday's 69th annual United Way meeting. The group has raised $1.2 million dollars in the past year, just short of the 1.5 million dollar goal. United Way President Dwayne Myles says people are still giving, but are giving less.

Proctor and Gamble has given the biggest donation to the Untied Way for over 10 years.
