Charles Knapp works with the East Lake Foundation that transformed a down and out Atlanta neighborhood into a thriving community

Former UGA President Charles Knapp says we can revitalize Albany if we put in the time, money, and resources.

Knapp works with the East Lake Foundation that transformed a down and out Atlanta neighborhood into a thriving community.  They've branched out to six other cities including Rome, Georgia, and Knapp thinks it can work here in Albany.

“You can create an environment where the people in the neighborhood, particularly the young people, are full of hope,” said Knapp.

Knapp met with Albany Mayor Willie Adams today to talk about bringing an East Lake Community to Albany.
