(AP) -- The Georgia Department of Labor will host its 15th annual televised job fair next week.

The live broadcast, entitled "Job Fair 2009 Preparing For Recovery," will be carried statewide on Georgia Public
Broadcasting May 17, from 2 to 4 p.m.  The broadcast will originate from Atlanta, Albany, and Macon.  For the first time, the broadcast will feature a large career expo and job fair in Macon.

State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond says the fair helps the department's efforts to lay the foundation for Georgia's
economic recovery.
