Tonight's Dougherty County teacher of the year candidate is a 30 year veteran who uses humor as a way to reach her students.

Lake Park Elementary third grade teacher Sharon "Shay" Dennard Bradshaw always finds a way to connect to her students.  Whether it's through the use of the latest technology, or different voices, Mrs. Bradshaw manages to make lessons engaging.  Her students truly respond to her teaching methods.  Several parents have thanked her for instilling the love of learning in their child... some society would call "lost causes."

And even though Mrs. Bradshaw has been teaching for 30 years, she has no plans to leave her true passion, which makes the Lake Park community very happy to hear.
