All five have ties to the Marine Corps and received scholarships in varying amounts
The Marine Corps Officers Spouses Club handed out scholarships to five southwest Georgia high school seniors Thursday.
This year’s winners are Angelique Edwards and Brandon Scott from Westover High School, April Bailey and Philip Kennedy from Lee County, and Kiara Jackson from Terrell High School. All five have ties to the Marine Corps and received scholarships in varying amounts.
The OCS Club will give out over $9,000 in scholarships, funded by local charities, this year.
