About one in five children in the United States is now overweight, with numbers increasing. 

Today at Magnolia Elementary the organization, "Kids in the Kitchen” spoke about ways to decrease childhood obesity by helping kids and their parents understand the value of nutrition and healthy food choices. 

Tips on fighting the on going problem include, avoiding fast food and sodas in excess, eating vegetables, and exercising as much as possible.
