Police say Randolph Green shot his wife, Donna Green, in the arm and abdomen
(AP) -- A Georgia man has admitted to shooting his estranged wife last year.
Houston County prosecutor K. David Cooke said 50-year-old Randolph Green pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Police say Green shot his wife, 38-year-old Donna Denise Green, in the arm
and abdomen during an argument outside their Warner Robins home Jan. 20, 2008. A 911 operator on the phone with Donna Green's 14-year-old daughter during the fight recorded the sound of one of the shots. Police say Randolph Green drove away in his wife's car, which he later set on fire.
Donna Green underwent emergency surgery after the shooting. He is scheduled to be sentenced Friday. Green's attorney, Carl
A. Veline Jr., could not be reached for comment.
