The president of the Albany-Dougherty County Economic Development Commission is pushing a website that will make it easier for businesses to move into town.
The EDC's website provides geographic information about Albany and other cities. EDC president, Ted Clem says it was vitally important that they get the city's market research and demographic information on the web for site consultants to look at, saying, “Before we hear from them, or speak to them over the phone or they come to visit, they have a good understanding of what our comminity is and what it has to offer. So if we don't have that presence, we're basically a blank void in their decision-making process”.
