West Town Elementary School celebrated "Career Awareness Day" on Friday.

26 career specialists spoke about the numerous careers that are available to the students when they’re ready for the real world.  Most kids said they want to be either a doctor or a lawyer.  Liason Juanita Ried says there has to be a connection between inside and outside the classroom.

“Everything they’re doing inside the classroom directly affects what they’re going to be doing in the workforce.  It’s not disjointed.  Everything that we’re doing, later on the children will see that when they apply for jobs and when they are actually in the workforce,” said Ried.
