This week is National Public Health Week and local health officials want you to be physically and mentally well. 

The Dougherty County Health Department is hosting daily lectures on different health issues.  Today's theme focused on making medicine work best for your body.  The next lectures are on managing stress, exercise, and nutrition. 

“We just don't look at one event in the situation.  We look at the whole focus of what encompasses a community,” said Health Department Nurse Alice Rodman.
