No one was injured in the fire.
A minor grease fire causes some major water damage in a downtown Albany apartment complex.
Firefighters say the heat from a pan of grease on the stove triggered the sprinkler system at the Ashley Riverside Apartments just after 3:00 p.m. Sunday. The third floor fire was out before it really began and firefighters worked to clean up water damage in the apartment below. Thankfully no one was hurt.
The woman in the apartment below the fire told Fox 31 news she managed to save her laptop, but wasn't able to get her television out before water leaked into her home. Fire officials estimate $1,000 worth of damage.
