Albany police are looking for a man who shot a woman Monday night.

The shooting happened around 9:00 p.m. on the 600 block of West Highland.  Investigators say 29-year-old Latricia Williams was shot once in the back while trying to get away from the gunman.

“They had a description - mostly a clothing description only height about 5'8" to 5'11" wearing a camouflage jump suit and possibly shortly after leaving the scene jumping into a gold Honda,” said Albany Police Spokeswoman Phyllis Banks-Whitley.

Residents say the shooter was seen in the area for quite some time Monday.  If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 436-TIPS.
