A community in East Albany says they’ve lost a “big part” of their neighborhood.
Police responded to a fatal accident at the corner of Clark and Swift around 8:30 this morning. Authorities say 84 year old Elijah Harris was crossing the street when a 1999 Tahoe driven by 37 year old Ricky Johnson turned the corner and hit him. Harris was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are still investigating the accident.
Neighbors say Harris was a good man and had lived in the area for almost 60 years.
