Albany-Dougherty Elections Supervisor Carolyn Hatcher calls it quits after 31 years on the job
Albany-Dougherty Elections Supervisor Carolyn Hatcher retires after 31 years of service.
Hatcher officially retired today after severing her post since 1978. Many friends gathered to show support and commend Hatcher for her service and many achievements. Hatcher was the first woman to hold the elections supervisor's position, and the first female department manager for Dougherty County. Throughout her 31 years of service, she's seen plenty of changes.
“Things have changed so drastically in the elections system, going to every county having their own system, to a stateundefined wide voting method and that’s been a big change,” said Hatcher.
