Albany police are still looking for the gunman in a shooting near Monroe High School on Wednesday

Albany police are still investigating a shooting that happened near Monroe High School on Wednesday afternoon.

17-year-old Jonathan White remains hospitalized in good condition after being shot in the stomach.  Police say White was involved in a fight that included almost 40 teens near the corner of Cedar and Lee Street.  District Attorney Greg Edwards was called in because neighbors had complained that gang activity was behind the fight and shooting.

Officials with the Dougherty County School System say Monroe High School was locked down during the brawl and none of their students were involved.
