Authorities say two women were killed in the explosion of a methamphetamine lab and fire at a home in south Georgia.

Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John Oxendine said the blast on Friday peeled back the roof of the
double-wide manufactured home. Oxendine's office is assisting Lanier County authorities in the investigation.

Coroner Patches Phillips said the victims, identified as 65-year-old Annie Ruth Powers and 37-year-old Constance Bennett,
were found in the residence and pronounced dead.
