Lee County honors its new STAR Student and STAR Teacher
The Lee County School System acknowledged its STAR Student and STAR Teacher of 2009 at the Lee County Chamber of Commerce “Eggs and Issues” breakfast on Tuesday.
Trevor Hohorst, a senior at Lee County High School, said his goal was to get an 800 on the math portion of the SAT, and he reached it. Hohorst then nominated his favorite teacher, Robby Davis, who Hohorst says challenged him and helped him to become a better citizen. Hohorst holds the highest SAT score in his school and has a grade point average of over 4.0.
The Lee County teen says he has yet to choose a college or university, but thinks he will major in computer science.
